SB 298 - Crossbow bill rears its ugly head

What was the outcome on yesterdays hearing on this? Ive been paying attention to the other bills.
There was an amendment added yesterday. They did not however remove the part where if the denial of a xbow permit is reversed that if applicant misses the archery season the dept. must issue a permit to the applicant of the applicants choice. I could see this being an issue with some highly sought after permit areas. This is in section 2 part 3c.

Looking forward to hunting a breaks bull and a bucks in the 270 this year then it should be a great season

Posted an hour ago, this person pretty much represents exactly what I see being wrong with crossbows in particular, but lots of other gear as well.

I have an Excalibur and a Barnett Raptor Pro. Both with Vortex scopes. They definitely remove the unending need to practice like I did with the compound, which was why I bought the first one to begin with. A few hours reacquainting myself with a target and I feel fully confident for the two days a season I'll hunt them.

It was sent out, but wasn’t voted on in committee? Where did it get sent out to? The senate floor?

Well poop,

I was wrong. Executive action on this is tomorrow. It has not passed out of committee yet.

Apologies!!

I’m so glad he sent that in. No way in hell this will go thru with that kind of ridiculousness attached to it

I’m against abled people using them. To me something like this should be brought into effect by our conversation orgs. Not a singular person trying to benefit themselves

Who is going to determine the wrongly denied part and why should that get you a special hunt the next year? To me that part seems like it would be so easy to scam.

Also gotta love the amendment further devaluing point systems.

That’s the thing during the hearing last week I believe it was said by an FWP employee who are we to judge what a doctor says? So, therefore in my opinion no one would be denied, because FWP won’t challenge anyone trying to take advantage.
