Sako

From a purely practical standpoint, I prefer a Vero Vellini sling. I think they are the best looking of the ugly slings, and work great. I also own a Trader Kieth's, Montana, and a Vero Vellini Leather, but the 20$ neoprene vero is what gets used the most.

The Montana leathers look good on anything. Have 4 synthetics strapped with em. Easy adjustment makes em ride my shoulder as well as the claw did.

I personally think they look good, wear with pack about as good as any. The quick adjustment lets you use it to stabilize a shot so plus marks here.

I like the butler creek slings, with the neoprene stretch and the dimples for grip when shouldering the rifle. Absorbs weight when carrying the rifle, good gear, hasn't let me down on any of my sako's and they get carried a fair bit in the bush.

Here is your rifle with a dark brown MT sling. I thought it was funny you posted your gun, I have the same gun, same scope only 44 mm, and in .308. Just put it all together.

If the plastic bolt shroud bothers you, I do believe the sako 85 bolt shroud fits on those A7's.

I've been working on loads. Here's where I was with 63 grains of Imr4831.

Getting closer after switching to 61 grains. I'm throwing 160 grain accubonds.

Tinkered with some overall lengths and found a winner. These are five shots at 100 yards. Good enough for me. Now I just gotta move the group down to the middle with the turret and kill a bear next month : ).

I'd be happy with that group any day. Let us know what the bear thinks of it
