Remington custom shop barreled actions. $400

I finished one and it turned out great. Shoots sub moa and the action is way smoother than any Rem 700 I’ve ever felt.

3 more to finish. Only thing left for those is milling the magazine well larger for Wyatt’s extended box magazines.

Hunting season now so I’ll probably get back around to them about Christmas time.

Here’s as far as I’ve gotten as money has been allocated elsewhere at the moment. Hope to finish it this winter.

Just needs a trigger, optics and the stock finished

I’d be interested in buying one of them that they have in stock, if they were in a factory configuration.

Struggling with this one. Not sure if I should keep it or not. The 280 was supposed to get sold but the boy fell in love with it. So the one I built for him currently has no home in the stable. But man does this thing shoot, is a dream to operate, and nice to carry. Bedded McMillan Mcwoody, trigger tech primary, m16 extractor, and PTG bolt. Scope is on it just to test, I know it’s a rim fire. 140g Nosler BT into a 5 shot group under 7/8”. Not sure what to do, what say you.

What chambering? 7mm Newberg?

Looking like that and shooting to match I’d have to find a spot to keep that one
The struggle is real. There isn’t a function for this caliber in my arsenal. I built a 260ai that I love for me. Boy wants the 280ai. Daughter may be able to claim it if I sell the savage lady hunter I’ve been storing for her. My 300 PRC covers everything else.

It would be nice to ditch that savage as I hate it and it’s a Creedmoor. But the way it fits the females in my life is why it’s stayed so far.

That’s a tough spot! Trying to figure out a sales pitch for my wife to upgrade her 243… 😂

Finally got around to breaking in two 338 Lapua’s that I built off of these PTG specials. They’re still not finished (need the actions milled for Wyatt’s extended mags, bed the stocks, and nitride the bolts) but both of them finished the day with 3 shot groups under 1/2” at 100 yards with no load development with a 300gr Berger OTM.

One might get sold. I can’t really justify having 3 338 Lapua’s at this point.

I just finished my 7 mag that I reamed out to 28 nosler. I went to mount a scope and I stripped a couple of the screws. Does anyone know if they went to a different thread pitch? I tried several different ones and they were all going to strip. It’s a stainless magnum action, the threads don’t appear to be damaged. @ p_ham maybe?

Should be 6-48.

Some of the posts from the beginning of this deal are good entertainment. It’s still hard to believe PT&G handled it how they did.
