Relax, Everything is Going to be Okay!

Partisanship is a weird thing

There are otherwise intelligent people that will tell you with a straight face, something ridiculous, such as “the eXpeRts were right about covid” or “Iraq had WMDs and the invasion was necessary to prevent an imminent attack on the USA”
“Marijuana is dangerous”
Or as the eyepatch senator from Texas would say “politicians trading stocks is not an issue”
And Big Nance agrees.

And there are texans and Californians that will agree with Dan but not Nance or with Nance but not Dan, even though they’re saying the same thing (and
Getting filthy rich)

Canada cannot shut down the power grid in the US. That's what switches are for although it would be a bit of switching required.

Anyway, the power issue with Ontario is already over. Check the news.

Canadians should be furious about 270% milk tariffs because that raises their price of milk. But I don't give a shit how much Canadians pay for milk. I do care how steel tariffs will impact steel roofing and aluminum tariffs will affect the price of beer cans.
Every appliance, pick up truck, camper, ebike, firearm, shell casing & bullets too

My wife keeps telling me "we need to save money" so fortunately I'm out of the market on most of those for a while. Although if I start thinking about another firearm, I might suddenly find out an appliance is a priority. 😂

edit: maybe some silver bullets though. IPA's are getting tougher on the tummy as I get... less young.

It is interesting the clean up occurring in aisle 47 today, after Elon spoke about getting significant cuts in entitlements. The WH says that there is no intention to cut Social Security or Medicare benefits. This leaves me to decide which liar to believe.

Got it, I don't trust either of them. This is a bit like the Montana legislature. You don't want to let the cat out of the bag...until the very last minute.

why is Canada so worried about the us tarrifs if tarriffs have no impact on on the exporter and only the country importing? Serious question
In addition to Rainer comments above; I believe that the Canadian Milk tariff was designed to encourage Canadians to purchase milk from Canadian farmers and not our dairy folks. I would think that the U.S. would have more demand for Milk as well as farmers. Canada only has about 40 million citizens compared to our 330MM citizens. I would expect that the U.S. production of milk could flood the market and crush the local diary's in Canada.

However, I believe that 80% of the Canadian steel production and auto parts are sold in the U.S.

They have a smaller population of both citizens and businesses that have been heavily and appropriately targeted on the U.S. markets as previously agreed upon by the current and former amistrations for about 60 years. Our economy's are very much intertwined at this point. But because they are a less diversified partner with a smaller market (but not less valuable), the impacts to their economy could be drastic.

That's funny because IPAs are the only thing my tummy can handle as I get ... less young also.

Too bad - thats where meaningful budget progress could actually be made.

I just finished getting our taxes done, for another year. We owe Uncle Sam another $1300 above what was withheld. It isn't too difficult to figure out what date, he will get his money. I told my wife that so long as Trump is in office, I prefer he wait for money from me, than the other way around.
I would say good job! When you owe money, You didn't give the government a interest free loan!

I have appliances on my mind. My wife wants a new washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, bevel oven (you know the little one that goes with the big one).
