I went back and read you post again. I will read more of the thread, and give it a chance.They indeed are in that it's an example of how well-run, well-led, .gov agencies with motivated employees can overcome workforce reductions.
I didn’t live you experience, so maybe my response isn’t fair to you. I appreciate the effort you and others have put in when cuts happen.
That said, at some point even motivated employees with dull tools, insufficient funding (e.g. revenue from extremely cheer stumpage, grazing, mineral /oil royalty, etc ) , and doing the job of 4, 6, 20 Others will give up.
It’s been known for years USFS, NPS, BLM, etc are lacking staff and budgets. Where is the breaking point, or are these cuts an attempt to breach that? I don’t know the answer.
