Relax, Everything is Going to be Okay!

Wife and I enjoy season based episode tv shows during dinner.

Currently watching, "LOST". The flip and flop, back and forth, yin and yang, reminds me of this thread.

Musk, Season two:
Special Government Employee appointed over DOI, week one. USDA week two. DHS week three, DOJ week four...

Supporting is not the word. The word is apathy. You omit any details of parent agreement. But we can get in that if you wish on PM. Personal freedom is the literal concept of freedom and liberty in the constitution. You know, the government not telling people what they can and can’t do? You should become more familiar with it.
Can 12 year old kids drink, drive, smoke, or get tattoos?

12 year olds aren't smart enough to make these decisions.

“(The) Office of Personnel Management does not have any authority whatsoever, under any statute in the history of the universe, to hire and fire employees within another agency,” Alsup said.

“The agencies could thumb their nose at OPM if they wanted to,” he added.

Alsup said he would release an opinion with further details in “due course.” An evidentiary hearing is expected next month, where the judge said he wanted OPM acting director Charles Ezell to testify.

A coalition of government employee unions sued over OPM’s directive to agency leaders to fire employees still in their probationary period
This is a good start however Judge Alsup's limited role hinders his authority as the suit is against OPM, alone and not inclusive of the agencies who served the temporary non mission critical terminations. Grievance procedures mostly required within agencies, for those not aware.

He's declared OPM does not have the authority under any code of federal regulation (CFR) to order agencies to fire employees within.

He's unable to stop continued agency action, unable to require agencies to recind their orders to their employees, unable to require agencies to rehire. Each agency is responsible for their "probationary" discretion, which Alsup also noted as, "significant authority" to terminate probationary employees as another basis of his inability as a judge, hense, mutually agreed agency/union grievance procedures.

My agency and several others directed our employees to not respond during the back and forth confusion between the 14th when agencies and unions were advised DOGE process to identify probationary, non and mission critical into the "OPM" directive, five bulletpoints by end of day, 24th. Several other agencies directed otherwise.

Yep. You’re a good people. How about we take your military pension and VA healthcare, and see if you land on your feet? In a year or two, you’ll be back to normal.
Two things, I would absolutely land on my feet, and that would be taking something I have ALREADY EARNED away from me, and that's a big difference.

The question that will be answered in the evidentiary hearing will clear up whether or not the agencies were instructed/forced by OPM to fire their probationary employees. Why Ezell will be on the hot seat and why he's probably hired the best attorney he can find.

The judicial branch is being tested. Our only hope?

BAH must not have donated any money to Trump's inauguration.
My daughter lives in DC, but her work has nothing to do with the govt. She called me about a month ago saying her lease is up in May and she wanted to consider buying a place there. I’ve told her since that she may want to rent for another year and wait for the fire sale when all of these unemployed people can no longer afford their mortgages. Sad situation, but also not a great time to be buying DC real estate.

DC real estate is a bubble ready to burst. Just like this butt kissers stock.🙂 Stay away from both.

That company will also be a giant grift benefactor of this whole thing. Connection there run deep. Peter Thiel, who is the other co-founder of Palantir, was Elon’s partner at PayPal. That company also has several employees “on loan” to DOGE.

You can do your own research on them, but they’ve done some pretty shady no-bid deals with US Gov over the years.

There are a number of interesting things related to how close Chinese business is to Elon as well.

The Republican and Democratic leaders of the U.S. House of Representatives' select committee on China warned on Tuesday that Beijing may try to exert leverage with Elon Musk in a bid to win favorable U.S. policies, and that Washington must counter any such effort.

China has some pressing priorities. Just over a month into his second term, President Donald Trump has announced additional 10% tariffs on Chinese goods, called for greater restrictions on Chinese investment in the U.S., and named China hardliners to key posts.
Musk, the world's richest man and among Trump's biggest donors in the 2024 election, could be attractive to Beijing as a potential conduit to Trump because he has become one of the president's closest White House advisers.

China may also be able to grant Musk things that he wants. His biggest business interest in China is electric car company Tesla, which he leads as CEO.
Tesla delivered 36.7% of its cars to customers in China last year, its second-largest market worldwide based on sales.
