Region 6&7 mulie doe tag reduction thread

Lee and Tiffany lakosky are doing this very thing to get hard to acquire nr elk permits every year in region 7. You can watch the videos if you want to see how that’s going for them. Both of them are averaging a couple bulls a year killed with their poor shot selection.
From my understanding that pool of nr landowner tags actually has left overs in it so all the nr landowners draw that tag

Same stuff going on in region 2 for deer tags. Same small group of landowners are getting tags every couple years. Get to hunt all the public and usually get to know a couple landowners in the best areas for deer. I’d be nice if landowners could only hunt their land with those tags.

Landowner tags which I support should be for their land not region wide.

The argument for that is the elk may winter on someone’s land but not be on it during season so that’s why they are unit wide. New Mexico offers 2 types of landowner tags one for just the land they own and one for the entire unit. If a landowner wants to hunt the entire unit he is required to open the ranch up to a bma type program

I can’t believe a nr landowner tag is even a thing. I have no issue with resident landowner tags within reason but can’t understand nr landowners getting any preference over another nr.
Or resident Lee and Tiffany had the tag I didn’t draw this year

There's a landowner in one R2 unit that has had a bunch of hard to draw mule deer tags over the years. The party app for these LE tags needs to go away also. mtmuley

I live in R6 and spent bunch of time in a R7 unit this year. Deer numbers are pathetic. Whitetail numbers are as bad or worse than mule deer, blows my mind how many whitetail doe tags can be bought. Better hope for some more mild winters and drastic changes from fwp. I can literally hunt out my back door and spent a grand total of ONE day hunting deer this year. And that was helping a friend during the youth season. I will say hunting pressure here was a fair bit better than the last few years, but it is still way too much from bird season through rifle season. That said, don't hate they player, hate the game!

From your perspective, are you seeing newer style hunt clubs pop up that focus on gaming the 160/640 acre requirements for landowner preference by issuing shares in a property to skirt around the current requirements? It seems to be a growing concern in other regions.
Most of the hunt clubs I am seeing are residents. I have however heard that some A list influencers are doing this to get tags to the north of where I live.
