I’ve been wanting to refinish my Kimber Mountain Ascent for a few years, and I finally got it done.
It shoots and handles great and is my go-to rifle chambered in 280AI, but I’ve never loved the look of the printed camo on the stock. Especially once it started to show wear.
This past winter I decided to cut a couple inches off the barrel to accommodate a suppressor, and I made plans to refinish the rifle while I had it apart.
I had the barrel, action, trigger guard, and sling swivel studs all Cerakoted with the E series professionally because it was more than I wanted to take on, but I painted the stock myself at home with the C series.
This project took a few months from start to finish, and I’m super happy with it. Time to get this thing back to the range.
