I guess we have different definitions of what bashing someone means. I vocalized an observation. I didn't say anything bad about him or any mental illnesses. I have cousins with mental illnesses, I know what they go through, and I wouldn't say anything bad about it.Defend Trump all you want but that truly was a dick post bashing a fellow Hunt Talkers previous posts about their own mental health.
We don't. We used to. The stats are even worse now.Be happy you live in the best country in the world with the freedoms many people before you fought for your ability to complain about nonsense.
Sorkin is an angry, toxic, unhinged guy. Yet he has made quite a good living in this awful place called America! We don't. We used to. The stats are even worse now.
I don't think the point of that scene is that America is awful though. The point is just that America used to be better than it is today and that while we were once the top dog in the world, that just isn't the case anymore.Sorkin is an angry, toxic, unhinged guy. One example of our 2nd World status, absolutely relevant to any discussion of our economy and politics:I don't think the point of that scene is that America is awful though. The point is just that America used to be better than it is today and that while we were once the top dog in the world, that just isn't the case anymore.
What country would you rather live in right now, if given the choice?I don't think the point of that scene is that America is awful though. The point is just that America used to be better than it is today and that while we were once the top dog in the world, that just isn't the case anymore.
That is a fantastic question and I honestly couldn't personally give a much informed response. Based on some metrics I could probably pick one but I have personally ever visited 4 other countries - Canada, France, Argentina and Switzerland. All were fantastic places to visit but I'm not informed enough to know if living in any of those places would provide me a better life than here. What country would you rather live in right now, if given the choice?
north ko--- wait, noWhat country would you rather live in right now, if given the choice?
In life's lottery, you got lucky where you were born. That is a fantastic question and I honestly couldn't personally give a much informed response. Your post just proves the "we are uninformed" narrative.north ko--- wait, no

Moving to Africa and become a PH and guide hunters. Fun thought, but I don't actually want to live in Africa.
I don't think there's a better place to reside than the US.
My post literally says "I don't think there's a better place to reside than the US." That is called an opinion.Your post just proves the "we are uninformed" narrative.
Do you know what its like in Switzerland (consistently ranked as the best place to live in the world by many sources)?
How about Iceland? Japan? Denmark? Finland? Peru?
You first have to admit that in order to make a claim, you need to have done your research 100% to back it up

Switzerland is a very expensive place to live, 50% higher than the US. Taxes are much higher as well. Population density is very high, 580 people per square mile. Scenery is beautiful, however. This thread is actually a great example of just how emotionally tied we are to our opinions as opposed to being informed.
The very first post of this thread was actually a pretty informative post. Facts were stated along with some sources. It was used as basis for the thread title that a recession in the US economy may be coming. For the 8 pages of posts later, there are very few informed posts.
Shouldn't opinions be informed though? What is the basis for your opinion? What facts and experiences do you have that back that up?My post literally says "I don't think there's a better place to reside than the US." That is called an opinion.
Its purely subjective, depending on who you are and what you like.
Do you like history? You're probably better off in Europe.
Do you like hunting? You can't really beat the US for the diversity of animals, seasons, climates, etc.
Think about the influence today: Biden...Trump...Pelosi...Blitzer...Holt...Rogan...Kardashian...Musk...Lebron...Rodgers... Are any of them "revered status"?
You ever read a book called “The Scout Mindset?” You essentially just nutshell summarized the book. Might be of interest. This thread is actually a great example of just how emotionally tied we are to our opinions as opposed to being informed.
