reattaching antler to skull plate

I had a spike with fairly long length. 1 broke off when he slammed into a tree after I shot him. I cut the other one off, drilled a hole in the base and used them for chain pulls on a ceiling fan.

I've seen guys use them as a handle for a coyote or deer drag as well. Im sure the boy wants to display his antlers though.

Do this. Drill a pilot hole and use a little epoxy on the screw.
This right here is how I would do it as well. Small pilot through the skull and into the antler. Then drill it out undersized for the screw you are using.

I ended up drilling a hole through the skull cap and the antler, then running heavy gauge tie wire through both. A little super glue to hold everything together.
