Hi all,
I unexpectedly drew AZ late rifle elk for this season and want to be sure I have good plans in place for all phases of the hunt. My misplaced confidence says that I should make sure that my normal pot for boiling deer skulls will hold an elk.
I already told myself that I would figure that part out when the need to do so arises, but you guys know how misplaced confidence can be...
Anyhow, what size pot would you seek out for cleaning up a skull at least well enough for transportation, and, ideally, for good?

I have an oval and round galvanized from Murdochs, I think the oval is 8 and round is 13 gallons. I’ve done smaller bulls in the oval but a good sized bull use the 13.
I have the one size up square one, can do a bull and 3 lope/deer at same time. Built reinforced burner stand to hold and stabilize weight. I have never taken any of it on trip, just clean good and run a pot of hot water thru brain hole. Let dry completely out then transport in old game bags to keep fluids absorbed and bugs off.
