My 8 month old griff Penny got her first public land pheasant this morning.

How'd she do on the flush/point?

Her point was good. She found it in some marsh grass between two plowed corn fields. As I approached the point the bird flushed and I shot it over one of the plowed fields. I don't train her steady to shot so she broke on the shot and retrieved it right to hand. No tail feathers on that rooster but it was pretty awesome none the less.

Penny's first limit of public land pheasants. It was an awesome morning. Man I'm proud of that little dog. Pointed them both and both retrieved to hand. Makes me want to sell all my bow hunting gear.
