Have one. Love it.yeah, and unfortunately doing it properly means lots of smoke. which is why i put the cast irons outside on the grill anyway.
i keep meaning to buy one of these actually for the gas grill to just lay on the grates for smash burgers and reverse seared steaks:

I found a knock off yeti cooler in a road ditch. Works great, just a couple scratches for characterI found a bucket in the road the other day...
I shoot grouse on the ground and fry them, and my worm caught fish, in my cast iron skillet.Never cooked on cast iron. My Dad did. Not sure of the attraction. Course I don't fly fish, and I shoot grouse on the ground. mtmuley
Smash burger tacos are really good. My old cast iron is no name. Works well for me with proper care. Also I am usually low in iron and cooking with cast (doctors advice) has helped that without the need for supplements.you guys have probably had a smashburger without realizing it.
if you've eaten at culvers, freddy's, or shake shack, you've more or less had a smash burger.
Might have to try it. I have all the pans still . mtmuleyI shoot grouse on the ground and fry them, and my worm caught fish, in my cast iron skillet.

Shiiit I hand em out for free! Just ask my wife.Hopefully this is a big seller and they start offering $3000 dutch ovens.
I dont think I want to know the backstory on that oneShiiit I hand em out for free! Just ask my wife.
We have three skillets and three Dutch ovens. The Dutch oven is great for sourdough bread. We also use them for biscuits when we’re camping. Cobblers, shepherds pie…There's nothing like cast iron in my opinion. Love that stuff, I've got a full lodge line up besides a Dutch oven.
how do you re-season a pan?I did this, food kept sticking on that rough surface so I took my grinder and smoothed the whole inside out real nice, and then re-seasoned it. Works great now!
Preheat it at 200 for 10 minutes, wipe with oil, wipe with dry cloth, bake at 450 for an hour or two.how do you re-season a pan?
