I burn 2 out of 3 weeks vacation hunting out of state. The other week I burn on a Canadian fishing trip. Local hunts are weekends only for me.

I'm closing the poll tomorrow. Thanks everyone for the responses. As of today, 88 votes in with the following breakdown: 34% prioritize out of state hunts, 30% all/nearly all local hunting, 33% split between the two. IMO, makes for a pretty diverse community on HT with both local and NR hunting well represented. From reading through the responses it is evident there are also numerous different motivations people have for shelling out $$$ to travel great distances to hunt.
I generally prioritize out of state hunts first as the hunting generally seems to be much better for me. For example waterfowl hunting in IN is pretty poor most of the time so we travel to ND for a week and end up shooting our limit of birds everyday.
