Pray for me

Here are two non-milled R700s, both in 300 RUM, and both with Leupold scopes.

Finally! The bolt on that rifle is on the correct side of the rifle!!! Ive got a the Rem 700 with the grey laminated stock (LSS) in .30-06. Bought it in 2001. That rifle is a shooter. 3/4" groups. I love that rifle. And I just put a Leupold VX5HD 3-15 on it.

You’re going the wrong direction ! 🙂

You trying to use up your RL25 at 110 grains per shot?
92 grains. If I drop down in cartridge I have an .06 and a .270. I just really like the .300 RUM. Done a lot of work with it over the years between mine and friends rifles. I keep changing my mind, but a 168 Hammer HHT somewhere around 3500-3600 fps should work well. mtmuley

I bought a 700 in .243 with a Burris on it for my son to shoot. Still have never fired it. Things heavy! I’ve seen a couple threads of people shooting elk with one but I feel like it’s a little small for elk.. He will most likely get his first deer with it next year, though!

I have a Remington 700 in 300 rum with a leupy on it. I use it as my rifle elk gun. Luckily I mostly archery hunt elk. I have bounced that thing off my face like a basketball more than once. I’m an ugly bastard. That gun hasn’t helped.

I remember my 700 was a nice little weapon right up to the point it went off while it was on the sling over my shoulder. I was in HS back then so I don't remember why/how it was loaded in that position but I remember it going off. Pretty sure that was the last time I had one chambered over my shoulder. It was also the last day that 700 spent in the field with me.

It’s a 30-06 made in 1984.
Good lord, everyone knows the 30-06 is obsolete. Damned unethical fool… least you could do is use a harder to find fad cartridge with a much smaller bullet with barely any difference in trajectory in a much more expensive rifle, at least then we’d know you weren’t in a coma.

What’s even worse is my bullet choice, 180 grain Remington Core lokt’s.

Yeah, I shoot a 4.5 Weatherchester Super Duper Magnum in a 117.6 grain. You wouldn’t know what that is, unless only elitests shoot that. The 30-06 is for ugly people.
