Pink camo, #dadbodhunter, and a whole lotta stupid!

Congrats! Heck of a trip to go 3 for 3 on bulls. Good to see Will is doing good! Awesome hunt guys!

Looks to be at least equal parts fun and pain. Stellar results going 3/3.

Good to see “sheets” smiling face.

And to make W’s day since I’m sure he is reading along I will include this pic he took. Feel free to leave him notes! 😉

But it was hot in the middle of the day Saturday and needed to go filter water while they were napping mid day so threw my bino pack on for bear spray and took the bugle tube because I was seriously contemplating waking them up with a bugle in their face but was laughing to hard to pull it off. W said this was a good example of the #dadbodhunter
What a tease. Great adventure with some good friends! Looking forward to the next installment.

OK , I sure hope my attempt at humor didn't end this epic thread . Surely you've done something I'll feel inadequate and inferior about ?
Focusing on family time and running the business. I will be glassing for elk in nm a week from today. Then straight to the international tree climbing championships. Home for a little less than two weeks before I go to Montana for some white tail action with @SwaggyD And then straight into my 4th season co elk hunt. This thread is far from over.

Well… I leave in 3 days for NM and don’t want the antelope to age for another 2 weeks so tonight will be a late cutting night. Glad I redeemed the voucher I bought at the RMBS rendezvous on my bull or I’m not sure I would get any sleep before NM.

3 more days till NM.

11 days till I leave for Georgia for the International Tree Climbing Championships.

Meat is ready for me to leave for NM.

Climbing gear is packed and ready.

Hunting gear is half loaded and half prepped in the shop.

Need to get some bids/paperwork done for the business and finish packing and I’m ready to go. Will most likely leave early Wednesday morning instead of Tuesday afternoon like I had hoped. That will still give me 2.5 days of scouting and will arrive in daylight instead of the dark.

It’s getting real.

Now for some family time and helping get them packed for the Georgia trip. Flying and traveling with three kids is no joke. The jump from 2-3 has been a rough one for us.

I was going through their pictures and found this one. The bull came from the furthest clearing before the left hand turn at the bottom of the avi chute.

And it looks like J found a friend.

How lucky to see a grizzly to go along with the wolverine sighting! 😀

Congrats to all three of you.

Woke up early to get the fridge cleaned and ready for the next seasons. Photo is mid process. #deletedmemberjazzercize has his opening day for a Wy commissioner elk tag he won tomorrow. If he can close the deal on the scouting he has been doing this week there should be meat in the fridge by the end of the week.

I leave for NM early Wednesday morning. I also finally got my remote monitoring system for my fridge and freezers set up. And I’m glad I did because one of my ice blocks fell and had propped the freezer door open a crack. The amazing thing is the commercial fridge was unplugged and open for a couple hours this morning and cool d back down in five minutes. The residential freezer has taken over an hour to drop 10 degrees.

I’ve been fighting a tire balance problem for the last month and a half. I had ko2’s on my tundra and I guess the combo of those tires and the red rock warrior rims can be an issue. After trying to balance them 5 times I finally got them warrantied and decided to switch tire brand and everything. Have heard great things about the wildpeak at4 so I’m giving those a shot. They look great so looking forward to putting them to work later this week. IMG_4553.jpeg

I’ve had balance issues on my tundra with some coopers in the past. Very frustrating deal. Got wild peaks on now and am very happy.
