A relatively rare (in MT at least) "tiger trout", brown/brookie hybrid. Note the vermiculations ("squiggley" patterns common to brookies) but no spotting and the brown trout fins. I've seen a few fish in my life - the only wild, non-hatchery raised one of these I have ever seen, much less ever held in my hands. Cool fish.....
A friend of mine repelled down a local mine shaft and took these pictures. The mine was started in 1880 and ran into the early half of the 20th century. The shaft goes down hundreds of feet. He went down a bit over 100 feet till he hit the end of his rope. I was too much of a weenie to go down with him.
