I understand that these are common for many folks, but not for a Michigan resident like me. They are realistic though. Should get to attempt CO ptarmigan on a trip this September.

To me a Bucket List is a Back Burner list.
Hunts that are attainable but slowly cooking.
Eventually making its way to the Front Burner.
On the Front Burner is Pacific Eider in Alaska and then King Eider in Greenland.

I still put big game in the mix but for now I’m fixated on waterfowl.

Great idea for a thread, @Gr8bawana! Timing is good, since Montana's application is open for the big three. Mine has always been

1. Bighorn Sheep
2. Grizzly bear

Alaska dall sheep hunt (Brooks Range) in 113 days, 17 hours, and 18 minutes but who is counting…The training at almost 57 yoa continues for my second attempt on an Alaska Dall sheep.

First attempt above the Artic Circle was in 2020 (Covid year). We bumped a legal ram on Day 4 and I vowed to get back on the mountain thereafter. I booked this subsequent sheep hunt back in January 2022 as the first available hunt and before the prices doubled.

Luckily, in the interim, I drew a nonresident Arizona desert bighorn sheep tag in 2022 with 13 points and got permanently kicked out of the “<1 Club.” I am still grateful, blessed and thankful for that experience.

I have been fortunate to draw a bighorn sheep and both my wife and I drew mountain goat a few years back. The only critters on my bucket list is a moose, but I won't pay for it so I need to hit a tag somewhere, and a lion (they have been my nemesis). Hoping it happens, but if not it has been a great run.

A bucket list item is making a self bow and taking a deer with it. Just have to get time to do that.

I haven't killed any deer with my self bows yet either, but it's definitely a lot of fun to make them. Good thing to do in the winter.

Awesome goals humans.

1. An actual mature bull elk after a 25 year drought. Life and Washington got in the way. I killed 5 bulls before moving from MT at 23, and the drought began.

2. A non-typical Mule Deer

3. Inland Griz

4. Wolf

5. Mountain Lion

6. Alaska Adventure - Moose, Caribou, Coastal Griz, Wolf

I could go on and on.
