Photo Regrets

scan0050-2.jpg

This one is from the late 60's....not much of a trophy hunter back then....lousy field pic but it brings back a lot of good memories of hunting with my dad.....

Were just a bunch of stupid flatlanders ! I think we now know we to line up every piece of our crappy hunting equipment to take a good pic !

Better in the hills than in the barnyard.

Goofy hats seems to be a reoccurring theme. Slack Jaw yokels.

I'll save the trump for last, but after spending 20 minutes looking through some old photos it appears I've a funny hat of my own, have spent some time riding dead animals, taking spectacular hero pictures in Dad's shop, behind the haystack, and in the back of the old white nissan..

Enjoy..

Wish I had a scanner. I've got some really bad ones on film.

This one is pretty bad. Wool pants and Converse hi-tops. Needed to be fast on my feet to work all day and run a trapline at night. Nevada - 1987.

And, I was already starting in my career of promoting valuable hunting, fishing, and trapping supplies, as evidenced by the T-Shirt. I have heard that the Cutthroat went "Yuppie" on us. They took the bras and panties off the ceiling, they will now call the cops if you get in a little scrum, and you need to be fluent in French to order off the menu. Damn it, the best places always get discovered and "civilized."

I like this game....

This is by far my biggest photo regret. Until recently this was by biggest... and first by the way... archery bull. There was a bunch of guys chasing this pig up on the north side of Ft.Peck right near The Pines recreation area. I managed to slip between him and his cows one morning and decided to go for broke and tore loose with the biggest baddest bugle I could muster. He came charging in... I stuck and arrow in him.... and he proceeded to jump right in the lake. I was pretty sure he was going to sink out their in front of the Pines boat ramp and nobody would believe I shot a bull that big. Well he eventually struggled his way to shore and died on the bank. The field photos would have bee spectacular. Huge bulll, smiling hunter, with the whole lake for a back drop. Unfortuantely I had loaded my trusty old 35mm with some film I found in the junk drawer.... Not a single print turned out. Had to settle for some severed head pics in the back yar.
