September of 2009, crossing the Alaskan Range while in route to caribou camp in the Brooks Range. Approximtely 600 miles in a Cesna 180; eight hours total including three fuel stops and a cheeseburger break in McGrath. It was a perfect day for a cross country trip; I couldn't pass up sharing this photo with fellow Hunt Talkers!

La Amistad International Park - somewhere near the border of Panama and Costa Rica. This million acre wilderness is the largest in central America. I took 6 weeks away from work last summer to chase vampires (and other bats) in the area.

This is a really cool thread.

I must say - the pic of Moon Lake in the Beartooths brought back great memories. I've hit that lake in July when it's still frozen over. Thought about that this year with the good snowpack up there. Thanks for posting that.

Here's a great little place for me. I've taken many a rest on the little saddle before moving up the mountain after elk.

So these pictures were taken approximately 1 month apart, the first one being Memorial day weekend, and the next the first part of July....This is above Big Piney Wy., my second home for lots of years now. These show sharp contrast in the country after a wildfire.....I still love this place, but it will never be as I knew it.
