Pet loads for 270 wsm

I’m purchasing a 270 wsm tomorrow and am looking for a load. I’m going to shoot either a 140 Berger vld or 140 Sierra game changer. What are you all shooting and what are you pushing it with.

130 gr Sierra game king with 56 grains of imr 4350. It's above max load for most manuals but I got from a group of guys that all use it. It's never shown any signs of excess pressure.

What brand of rifle, factory or custom? I've had really good luck with RL23 and 140 gr pills in my 270 wsm. Just picked up some RL26 last month when it was available for a brief second. Looking at Sierra's load data I'm tempted to try RL26 with 140 gr Game Changers. Should be an awesome combo!

My kimber likes the 140 accubonds and H4831sc. If your're looking into using bergers, check out the 140 hunter classic. Higher bc then the vld and not as finicky in seating depth. My 270 win loves them and easy load development.

I am starting over with my 270wsm. Mine shot 5/8 inch groups with 140grn accubonds with AA3100. They stopped making that powder.

I use 130 gr Barnes TTSX BT with 65 gr of RL19. I shoot both a Remington 700 and a HS Precision in 270 WSM and this load shoots really well in both. Just make sure to seat the bullet deep enough so there's a little jump to the rifling. It seems to make a big difference with these copper bullets in both rifles.

I've done well with magpro and RL 17, couldn't get 4350 to work though. My Kimber has always done better the hotter I load them. 140gr ABs and TSXs are my favorite. Just a personal preference, but I wouldn't shoot Berger's out of a WSM. Sending those things down the tube at 3200 fps just seems like a recipe for disaster to me, especially on anything big.

My 270 wsm likes H4831 140 grain accubonds or 140 Bergers fed match 215 primer

Currently having good luck with 140 Accubonds and IMR 4350. My kimber seems to like 57 grains

I tryed 3 loads in mine the best was RL23 WLRM primers 140gr Accubonds in a Ruger M77 with 22" barrel. I got 3128FPS. OAL was 2.835

MRP using 140gr Hornady interlocks with 215M primers and R/P cases went 3112FPS. OAL was 2.820 SD was 5.9

With Mag Pro 150gr Ballistic tip Win case WLRM primer I got 3018 FPS OAL was 2.845 OAL SD was 34.7

The RL23 was the best load and most accurate.SD was 13.3 all SD were 5 shots. But I like that MRP a lot also.
