Peax Treeline Western Bear Hunting Tour

Anyone considering going? I love watching Call and Lampers on the Gritty channel. I love the podcasts too.

I am a veteran big game hunter, but am new to bear. I have no local hunting partner in Washington. I’m always looking to expand my hunting seasons.

I think I’m going to go to the one in Missoula. Thoughts?

He shot a wolf without a wolf tag, [edit to add: then ran to town to buy a tag,] and tagged it later. Got busted for it, had a mea culpa podcast but still played it off that IDF&G was picking on him. Then he took it down. I’m not sure what happened with his court case.

Same woe is me, they’re picking on me BS when he got busted for not getting film permits and was forced to take a bunch of content down off his YouTube channel.

Last time I watched anything of his was when he archery hunted elk in ID and played it off that it was some super hard core hunt, and that they had to sleep out on the elk in the sagebrush. I know exactly where they were, easy day hike, and it was in DAY USE ONLY Idaho Power property. Buddy of mine and I had a good laugh about that.

I agree with mxracer, if you want to go I wouldn’t hesitate. You don’t have to like any of them to know you can probably learn something.

I don’t personally care for Call, some of the reasons stated above, and Livesay seems kinda over energetic. I think Lampers could probably go toe to toe with anyone on a mountain and would probably be worth the trip though.

How much did he ask of Peax to use their product?

Funny how douchy content creators break laws in Idaho and then blame IDFG. Did Call cry in front of the judge too?

I’ve wanted to go to the Western Hunting Summit at Lampers house too. He seems legit. Livesay has quite the story and definitely is a character. It’s the classic lesson of not knowing anyone that you don’t know personally.

The online world is just online dating. The pics and bio are doctored 99% of the time. You think you’re going to go see a full resto mod Mustang and you find an Escort sitting in its seat. In the hunting world it would be the posed and edited pic. Thank God I hunted hard and didn’t settle for a spike.

Douglas boss , ultimate black bear hunting, its a good book for new hunters.
Scott Haugen has some good stuff about black bears,
Wayne carlton, calling bear videos are old but good.

For the cost you could buy a license and bear tag about anywhere and actually go hunt and learn things yourself
