A fun walk down memory lane , great idea for a post , I’ll add a few more memories later.
Beautiful bay horses, looks like a dream tripCaribou packout NWT 2017.
We didn’t really intend to be hunting, just riding around waiting for the river to come down so we could go to sheep camp, so we just had saddle horses with no packing tack. We made do.

The wolf is way cool.Assorted other pack outs. The one with my mom and the sled…. It was an unseanably warm year. This is the last day of season, Sunday after Thanksgiving. We weren’t even going to go hunting. Got up in the AM and could hear cows chirping and smell elk. Snuck up behind the house and found the little raghorn.

A friend offered his wall tent still set up in the backcountry since he had shot a ram the week before. They had a hot wire for the tent and horses. We used that tent for a total of 5 hours. No messing around. For a minute I thought the orange rope was baling twine. Bitterroot rope. mtmuley
Not sure anyone wants any of those.Leave some for everyone else, @Gerald Martin .................
