Thanks! I hunted the Eagle Caps.Well done, where did you end up hunting, looks like the elk horns.
Yep, he broke about 3 inches off, and yes, it was a sketchy climb out of there. It appears from your photo that your billy is missing a tip and you are looking quite happy with the whole outcome. (And maybe thinking about how you have to get him out of there, safe and sound)
Fix it or leave as part of the story? Personally, I’d leave it.Yep, he broke about 3 inches off, and yes, it was a sketchy climb out of there.
I'm still undecided on that. I've always left my deer tines as is, but not sure on this one.Fix it or leave as part of the story? Personally, I’d leave it.
I’d probably be the same with a goat, deer it’s an easy decision (for me) to leave.I'm still undecided on that. I've always left my deer tines as is, but not sure on this one.
Great job!View attachment 296006
What an adventure! Unfortunately it wasn’t bang, flop so he took a tumble. I may never get another opportunity to hunt these amazing beasts again, but I sure hope I do.
Unfortunately no.Were you able to find the part that broke off?
My opinion is fix it. I like to restore animals to their prime state as a sign of respect for their life.I'm still undecided on that. I've always left my deer tines as is, but not sure on this one.
