I knew I had a bunch of Pics from my travels around Eastern Montana over the years
Man, there was a ton of effort put into some of those, just to see them rot away...

Most of these still standing over a hundred years later with 0 termite protection!?

But, but but... I thought that was a requirement for building new homes now? lmao....

Great pictures everyone!

I'm kinda blessed to have built a log cabin from local old growth white pine. Some tr ees over 200 years old. Surrounded by old growth birch. I buy the logs from a local sawer. Well actually traded a couple guns for the logs. It's fly in summer. Snogos in winter.
There are pictures around. Just thought I'd put this in because it seems like building a cabin out in the bush doesn't seem to happen much anymore.
I also grew up in northern WI and went through a lot of ol barns n slept out in a few ol cabins

This cabin is in Mayville, Ore. Talked to the owner about taking photo's of the house and barn and suprised when I found this one behind the barn. He told me it was built in 1870 and his grand daughter was born in it.

This one is near Fossil, Ore. Ira Monger Ranch. Took a shot of it 24 yrs before and was in a lot better shape back then.
