On Christmas Day, 1933 my father and his parents moved into a dugout cabin. This fall I got to take my son, son in law, brother in law and nephew to the remains of the cabin and took some time to honor their memories.

“Wyoming thru the Lens” posted this photo of a dugout cabin that I’m almost certain is the same as I posted in post #79 of this thread. This was the condition of the cabin the first time I saw it when my dad showed it to me in the late 90’s

Deep in a canyon in NW Nevada on a stream. Hard to tell what it was for, but it was in relatively good shape. Looked like potentially a homestead
