Leupold BX-4 Rangefinding Binoculars

NOSLER wants to see your success

I posted this in the pronghorn section, but want to give my favorite bullet manufacturer some love, and get a like from bigfin🤣.
This beauty was taken at 300 yds with a 165gr accubond pushed by 54.5 grs of imr4350 at 2800 fps out of a 30-06. Love the accubonds20200927_092714.jpg

Last year in Africa I took seven animals with 30-06 165 gr Nosler Partitions, four the first morning, including this wildebeest at 110 meters that went over feet in the air with one shot. Entry was square in the right shoulder and remains of the bullet were lodged in hide of opposite shoulder. Blesbuck, impala, and springbuck were also down with one shot. The gemsbuck took two shots very close and certainly dead after the first one but still incoming at a gallop so I hit it a second time again through the heart ... at twelve yards. One bullet recovered from gemsbuck was pretty much identical to the one recovered from wildebeest. I watched them skin the gemsbuck and was impressed at the apparent lack of meat damage for such close range shooting.

What amazed me about the Partition's performance on wildebeest was that it stayed on track after shedding so much mass and penetrating so much bone.

Congrats on the moose!

How'd you like the performance of that E-Tip? I've got a few boxes, but haven't tried them yet.

Thanks, Guy
I normally shoot 180 gr Barnes TTSX but had a couple boxes of E-tips and they performed better in my rifle in terms of grouping and velocity standard deviation.
Worked fine on my last bull moose at 160 yards in the lungs. Exit hole so never recovered the 180 gr E-tip.

160gn Nosler Partition, custom handload, 7mm Rem Mag for deer.

120gn Nosler Ballistic Tip, custom handload, 7mm Rem Mag for Speed goats.

Use my Ruger no.1 for both. I'm a lefty and it's a great option when your nephew or brother "need" to borrow your gun... I have a ballistics chart cheat sheet based off actual range shooting for both loads that I use to dial for yardage.
