The "silencer bill" appears to have been tabled today. A lot of guys will be lamenting the downfall of this one:mad: for just as many reasons:). No spears, no silencers...this legislature just can't get a thing done for their constituents. Good thing it only costs $8 mil and change....and minus any federal funds they turn can back.

If they are going to spend 8 mill.... they could have AT LEAST let us hunt with silencers... I may sue the state... each year I hunt without a silencer my hearing and tinnitus gets worse...eventually I wont be able to hear the laughter and joy in my grandkids voices.... its a travesty I tell you....

and dont even get me started on spears....

Come on Ernie you are missing the whole point, the silencer bill had nothing to do with sound,,its all 2nd Amendment:rolleyes:;)

Awesome victory guys, if this would have passed guys like Tony might have been compelled to poach game...

I would try and explain again to you Brudno, but you know the old saying,,,Ya can't fix stupid.

Hey Brud, glad to see you jumping in once again still packin' your confusion over what pertains to 2nd amendment issues and what don't. But I'll keep my word, when a Wisconsin issue comes up, don't worry, I won't poke my uneducated nose into it:D.....slightly embarassed (not), couldn't resist:hump:.

Ok deal, and I'll try to pretend that, that somehow matters to me, but trust me I won't pitch a fit when someone has a different philosophy than mine. Theres not much happening in this state, but if your looking for somthing to nose around in theres a pending crossbow referendum that would extend the use of crossbows in the archery season to those that are physically capable to hunt with a bow. But thats not a bill that effects me one way or another though either.

Why the butt hurt and fear of suppressors?

Poachers won't use them anymore than they already do. They are legal to own already so a poacher would already be utilizing them. The fine for poaching is one thing, but unlawful use of an NFA item could land you in federal pound me in the a$$ prison for 10 years. What's it matter if you can legally hunt with one during a lawful season?

Wisconsin, West Virginia.....do we have any callers about Montana legislation from the southern hemisphere:p

LOL, some of these guys really make you wonder. That is unless you go along with everything they say step by step, then they don't care where you reside.

If MT hunters dont want it to be legal to use silencers for hunting...so be it...and hunters from other states can put a "silencer" on their pie-holes.

My post wasn't disrespectful yet it had common sense as to why the poaching element against suppressors holds no water. Nobody has answered why they are against suppressor use while hunting that didn't involve poaching. I simply asked why the butt hurt and fear? If your going to post topics on these forums, then expect people from all over to comment. I don't think Big Fin wants this place to be a Montana board but then again it's his house, not mine.

LOL, so fitting that your out of state but jumps in here to prove my point, especially since your one of them who can't seem to think for them selves. Your constant tough talk is always humurous and welcomed, though.

Comment all you want...

However, MT hunters not wanting to legalize silencers for hunting THEIR public wildlife is their business...and they dont need to justify their reasons to any out-of-stater.

Brudno,

I'm a Montanan...through and through, born and raised there...just on sabbatical to Wyoming.
