New Mexico Pronghorn - ACT III

This guy watched me for a while as I was closing in on sticks.

I really wanted a shot at sticks but when this "randy buck" was located bedded at 120 yards I decided he was good enough for an arrow. I closed to 80 yards pretty easy but was busted just as I was getting into my comfort zone. He was a cool buck with one normal horn then another one that came down his.face then shot back up. Very cool buck.

After running the antelope around in sticks area I headed to look for another cool buck. Not the biggest but cool none the less. He was always on the alert so I never really had a chance at him.

Cool wide buck. If only spread credit counted.

Here are some other random bucks.

I passed up a lot of younger bucks that would have been easy to kill. I hope they smarten up or the herds will have a lot less younger bucks.

Here is the same stalk but from about 1000 yards away. The buck is to the left of the guys about 100 yards away.

This right here made my trip. Randy already explained how things went down on his stalk. These are the pics of the whole thing as it happened right in front of me.
Here they are just before leaving to make the stalk.

Now I'm thinking where in the hell is ChuPac (Randy) as this buck is walking on by. Not 30 seconds go by and I see another antelope. ;)

I was not about to watch this much of the show then miss the ending. So I snuck up and watched the shot. I was unable to get any good pics of that but did get a few after the shot.

Another great trip with new and old friends. I can't wait until the next adventure.

Great pics IB. Even though you did not fill your tag, it looks like you had a great time and brought home a ton of cool memories. Thanks for the great pics!!!

Bugler, thanks for the pics and story. Too bad you didn't bring a critter home, but guess the chase will leave lasting memories. They will for us. Well done.
