New GSP

Our beloved GSP, Gunner, passed away at the beginning of the year. He was the best dog I ever knew, and I sobbed like a little child when he passed. I contacted the same breeder we got him from and she said she would keep me in mind if something came up. She cautioned me that all of her current pups were spoken for, and there was a long line of folks interested. Well, something came up and she decided to bless my family with another pup from her current litter. I'd like to introduce Boone. He was born the same day Gunner died, and comes from the same blood line. Meant to be

Soooo much easier to baby proof a home compared to puppy proofing one.

I'd like to introduce Boone.

Damn, just lost our 12yo. GSP, Boone, yesterday and man, does it hurt. Glad things have come around for you. Hoping this pain passes quickly. So far this has been the hardest dog loss for me. Have had plenty but he was “that dog”. Look forward to seeing updates as your Boone grows.

Ah man, I’m really sorry to hear that. I never would’ve imagined I would grieve the way I did when ours passed. It tore me up pretty good. I think it was the combination of him being an amazing dog and also going through so much with my wife and I. They definitely don’t live long enough, but they teach us so much in that short amount of time. I hope my Boone could measure up to yours!

My GSP/lab cross (the black one) is also Boone, and he’s been a hell of a good dog. That’s a great looking pup!
