For those interested in trapping wolves this year, here is the link to the schedule of wolf trapping certification classes.

http://fwp.mt.gov/education/wolfTrapping/

I am happy they have some in Bozeman. Allows me to catch a class in between filming gigs.

Hope to see you there.

That would be awesome if you were able to trap one or two this year AND tag one with your rifle! Best of luck!

Well to my surprise they are having a class in my tiny home town and the date even works for me. I was the first person signed up for that class. I will be interested to see if it fills up and who shows up.

Looks like us in eastern Montana will have to travel west to go to school.

Since Fin who has some trapping experience has graciously allowed me to tag along on some trapping adventures, i'm going to get certified:)

I need another mount to compliment the one I have:)LOL Maybe a grey one this time

You guys are lucky.I'd love to trap wolves.I think it would be pretty easy with a scent post and have it smelling like an intruder.Figuring out their pattern may be difficult though
best of luck.I hope you all fill your trapping tags, and rifle tag.Are NR allowed to trap wolves??May have to plan a trip for next season if they allow me the opportunity.Great thing for the trapping community in your state

I believe that they are. You would have to come to Montana to take the class, and purchase the NR wolf tags that are expensive right now. I think you'd have to purchase a NR trappers licence too.

I would hope everyone would do a 24 hr check just to keep the antis from getting any ammo to use against us.When are they going to reconsider NR costs??I'd love to do it,but I don't know how I'd afford flying out for the class then going back for the season.Do they run any classes close to season??How awesome would that be to come up on a trapped wolf.
Randy, sounds like the makings of another good show, and will benefit all us trappers for the public to see the truth about trapping

the wolf trapping here in ID is pretty good as well. I have been considering taking the class for this winters trapping season also. i believe that you can trap up to 5 per season. I heard that some did just that last year.
