MT wilderness mountain goat tag

Hey everyone I was extremely fortunate and drew unit 329 in the bearthooth wilderness! I’ve been in adjacent units and understood the ruggedness/remoteness of the terrain. I’ve taken an Idaho goat about 7 years ago so have a little experience hunting them, was wondering if anyone has any experience hunting in this unit that would be willing to discuss some info. Would like to keep details to PMs please, thanks for any help!

Yea it’s been out for a couple years doesn’t bother me to add a few more miles of hiking. Looking forward to the adventure.

Tough crowd I’m sure if any of these guys draw a big 3 tag they wouldn’t ask for any intel. Having drawn a tag like this in another state I look forward to helping out another hunter and sharing my knowledge as it’s basically a once in a lifetime tag. I’ve done a lot of homework on this area and just enjoying talking to previous tag holders and hearing about their hunts and any tips they may have.

Montana Mountain Goat- at wits end

Long story short, i drew a Montana mountain goat tag and set off for what I was hoping to be up to a nine day long goat hunt only to find the one and only road into the district closed due to washed out bridge less than a mile into said district. I did the longest hike of my life yesterday...
