How?It should be pointed out that this is a fight between labor and capital. Has been for hundreds of years. Labor continues to make odd decisions.

Look at the stock market.How?
Maybe it is between labor and capital.Look at the stock market.
I would bet that none of those people make so much that the standard deduction doesn't sufficiently cover their tax obligation. Promising voters stuff that doesn't really matter is a great tactic.Maybe it is between labor and capital.
I think thats an over simplification. But if its that simple - i see why lots of folks voted for a guy promising tax free OT and taxless tips.
They're going to be so happy when their paychecks go up and so mad when their tax refund goes down lolI would bet that none of those people make so much that the standard deduction doesn't sufficiently cover their tax obligation. Promising voters stuff that doesn't really matter is a great tactic.
None of the people working OT or for tips make above 12k? P.s. sure glad its 2x what it used to be (the standard deductions).I would bet that none of those people make so much that the standard deduction doesn't sufficiently cover their tax obligation. Promising voters stuff that doesn't really matter is a great tactic.
I think you’re right about that it will just change how the ot is taxed. With that though I have worked over 500 hours of ot a year for well over the last decade every year. I’ve had paychecks with over 100 hours of ot. That’s on top of my regular 80. A change in the tax model will be good for moral for guys when they have to do that. I guess until you’ve spent that much time with a head lamp on in knee deep snow you won’t understand see a paycheck At 40%They're going to be so happy when their paychecks go up and so mad when their tax refund goes down lol
Maybe. Depends on how much gets cut out from other places. At least the federal deficit isn’t an existential threat anymore, at least for the next 4 years. Would be awfully hard to pay for all these across-the-board tax cuts without running up the deficit.
