MT Gov. Opposes Bison Hunt

Nemont,

I agree with you on most of that.

The problem in this issue though, is that Gov. Stephens opened the door to the very thing you're saying.

If he and the FWP would have stood their ground, the buffalo hippies would have given up many years ago. Caving in to them THEN only makes them more willing to fight harder now.

Plus, we both know that the media would also have gone away as the bison hunt (if still going on) would be old news.

When was the last time you heard anything about Wyomings Bison hunt?

if the drawing does not happen what happens to the non refundable $3 drawing few FWP collected for a drawing they offered then didn`t do?

last I heard there were 7000+ apps,,,thats $21,000,,,

to bad buzz isn`t a FWP employee that would pay his wages for a year and include a raise

280,

I'm sure they'll send back that $3 to you. I know how important those big bucks are to you, the last thing you'd ever want to do is dontate that money to a cause such as wildlife management.

I guess when you work at the Fireside pizza shop as a waitress, that tip money is pretty important.

buzz ya dumb ass the point I was making is they collected money for something they may not offer that is non refundable, better then most internet scams, the english language seems to be something you have trouble understanding, that or you are drunk,,,,,,,,,,again,,,,,,,,in the morning!

I"m not sure what the number "10" had to do with managing numbers, when they shoot a hundred or more every year, but I do believe the hunt should be established, for the sake of the hunt. LIke SRA said, why shouldn't we be allowed to hunt/kill them if they are going to kill them anyways. I really dont get that chit. Yeah, there is NO POSSIBLE WAY there will be a wolf hunt if our gov is crumpling on this one!

Horn seeker- I hope you're wrong when it comes to wolves. I really don't anticipate a wolf hunt in the next 4 years though. I think at best the restictions on shooting wolves may be lifted in that time (after all the law suits get settled).

I've heard that the commission is meeting on the buffalo issue and the permits will be drawn after that, if there is going to be a drawing. I wish Gov. Stan would have kept the buffalo hunt to begin with. It would have made this a lot easier now. His initial move may have implications with wolf hunting also. We'll have to wait and see.

For anyone who has the ability here's the lowdown on the FWP Commission meeting:
It's set for Mon. Jan. 10, 9 a.m. at the FWP HQ, 1420 E. 6th Ave. Helena, Mt.
The guy I talked to at FWP in Helena seemed a little perturbed about the Politicos involvement. He said that the public was welcome at the Meeting.
The one Commissioner who voted to keep the hunt, ( a rancher from Scobey ), said today he thinks it's already a done deal. He said that Schweitzer just told these new lackies how to vote and that's that! I'm sure he's probably right, but you never know what a little effort might bring.
I did a little research, and found out that Schweitzer had voiced this opinion re: the Bison Hunt in Oct. here's a link to a report by those Buffalo Field Campaign wackos that talks about it: http://www.forwolves.org/ralph/bison/bfc10-21-2004.htm
I wish things like that had been reported on before the election! I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have gotten near the votes he ended up with.

FWP Meeting Site Changed

Site has been changed due to an extremely large turn out expected. The meeting is at 9 a.m. Monday at the Red Lion Colonial Inn, 2301 Colonial Dr, Helena, MT 59601
Here's an article about Dan Walker, The chairman just ousted by Schweitzer.
He talks about the FWP's decision to reinstate the hunt, how the FWP used to be run, as well as why he supports the hunt.

I read in yesterday's Missoulian, a bison drawing was conducted for next year out of the same group of people for this year's hunt. The article also stated application fees would be returned. (280 you should be happy about that. A drawing and you get your application fee. Can you say Bonus Time. It's like getting a tip at the Fireside Pizza.)

I will cash the check get three one dollar bills and head to Freds to tip buzz`s wife

280,

I am no prude but that shit isn't funny. Regardless of what you might think is cool don't drag a guys family into a pissing contest. There is no need for it.

280,

What?

Are you hitting the bottle early today? I'm sure your sister/wife (same person) would enjoy it if you would stay sober until noon. Do your kids have a nice bright future picking banjos with that sixth finger? Is that what you're banking on as your way "out" of the Bitterroot trailer park? Maybe then you could even afford ripple instead of MD 20/20.

Oh, and 280, be sure to keep your kids away from sharp knives as you're way out of the trailer park could be compromised....

280- I believe Buzz kept it to you until you started in on his wife. I'd be willing to bet his wife could kick your ass in a fight as well as kick your ass when it comes to hunting. You better keep with insulting Buzz because you are severely outclassed when it comes to his wife.

Matt

280- Just pointing out the obvious. I believe Nemont went against you on this one also.
