Looks from the sentence that they got, that the judge didn't think it was to big a deal.

We need our judges to be accountable for their actions, the same as our politicians.

A guided mountain lion hunt runs $4,000-$5,000. So why not illegally hunt on private property, shoot multiple lions, and then pay $5,000. The court system needs to pull their head out of their a$$ and start making the punishment for such blatant violations severe enough to make people think twice about it. With this system poaching a bighorn would probably be cheaper than application fees and hiring an outfitter. This really ticks me off. Hammer there pocket book and revoke there hunting privileges for 15-20 years.

The warden says the department heard about the illegal hunt in December 2009 and found the men after Steingraber posted an account of the trip on an online forum.

What a bunch of idiots! Posting it on a public forum! There is another forum that I am on, local hunting forum, where a member is going to court over poaching charges. He said that the GW was taking printed off forum threads/posts as one form of evidence!

Some people think they are untouchable and will never get caught!
