BTW, the elk reside on Flying D and Black Ranches both sides of Hwy 191 south of Gateway year around, not just "come winter".

Took a stroll through some heavily hunted public that used to be good today. It’s never been more evident to me that nonresident caps are needed. No locals, nonresidents and 6 plates.

Comparing hunting season structures to child endangerment is a bit much. If we eliminate the hyperbole and focus on the proposal and what is achievable, it's a much better discussion.

Want to do an analogy with lobbyists and outfitters next? Seems more fitting - especially with the word "hyperbole" being brazenly thrown around - when outfitting rec properties pay property taxes accordingly - it might be worth listening to from a lobbyist. When this state can stop focusing on whats "achievable" and instead focus on whats practical and/or best for the resource we will be much better off. God help us getting there with inept legislators, corrupt regulators, and bought lobbyists. If FWP/legislature didnt have to kiss mogas ring/arse this would have been better a long time ago - but as long as there is corrupt money involved the best there will be is "compromise'

Work hard out there guys, folks with a 9-5 and/or legitimate business owners - theres welfare reciepients, landowners, and lobbyists that will all starve without money you earned.

Its ironic that you find no issue with non-ag properties receiving ag subsidies to do non-ag things.

Because this is a thread about season structure, not property tax.

There will be significant number of bills dealing with property tax this session. Many of them will be looking at what you have issues with, but from what I've seen - the solution would disincentivize groups like American Prairie, TNC, RMEF, Boone & Crockett, et al from conserving private property.

Theres easy ways to carve out exemptions for non-profit and the intended use being conservation. "Ironically" the properties you are referring to are the ones that are being targetted and what i am referring to will not be. We both know that.
