Looking for MT 291 Honey Holes

Well, the tag gods smiled upon me this year and I drew a nice mule deer permit. I've spent a day or two in the unit glassing deer during the rut for the heck of it. All the forkhorns were of the XL variety, which seems promising.

Anyone had this tag in the last decade or so and willing to discuss their experience over PM or otherwise? I normally loathe asking for specific info, but this isn't an easy tag to draw and I'd love to collect every possible nugget of info I can to make the most of things.

It might be that the BMAs are not open yet. He has always allowed rifle hunting in the past. He does not like bow hunters.

Six C? I don’t think they’re enrolled. That’s who I meant about out of state landowner and being dubious about access, but you never know. Presumptuous of me to assume “no.”

Dutton has been in the BMA program forever and have every degree of faith that they’ll be enrolled for rifle season again this Fall.

My bad. I was speaking to the Dutton ranch. The Six C does have a camp make a dream on the other side of the interstate so maybe you would have an in if you pulled a "The Ringer". lol

No problem. My post about those two places was excited word salad and not clear about who I meant at all. I didn't didn't realize that Six C owned that camp, so they already beat my presumptions about them being land collectors based on their tax address.
