Long Covid?

Mine lasted from late September through early January, in spite of all that I could do. I have rarely been sick, even staying healthy when my wife and kids got sick, so this was a major frustration for me. I join the YMCA in January, and started playing pickleball twice a week. I felt like I was 70 years old for the first couple weeks, and the experience was painful. However after a few weeks, my body bounced back in a major way, and recovered completely. No more coughing fits, no more anything. Strenuous physical activity was my cure.

Rule 1 in research, research the researcher, the guys a crack pot...nuttier than squirrel shit.

The only thing nuttier than you would be someone listening to any of your recommendations.

You must've forgotten to research your president and his son because you sure screwed the pooch on that one. You forgot to research an actual crack pot.

You posted a link saying Trump said to inject yourself with bleach... When he didn't even suggest it let alone mention bleach in the interview. You're further off your rocker than I had originally thought!

We got the initial vaccine and one booster. NO MORE! I am curious regarding ivermectin(sp). I know little about it and where to purchase. Anyway, today is the best I have felt in nearly 5 weeks. Looking forward to warmer weather and getting my strength back. Thanks to this forum and your support. MTG

I've quite a few acquaintances who've related anecdotally favorable outcomes from Ivermectin. It never occurred to me to deride them for it. It does amaze me to hear or read otherwise brilliant people align themselves and parrot either team's self serving narrative.

As opposed to what?
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. If you go to a walk-in your odds of seeing a non-doctor that calls themself doctor is much higher. Hospitals have learned it is a volume game and they can cut costs by hiring quasi-doctors. The first time you go in for an issue, maybe. If you go back for the same issue, ask to see an MD. Diagnosing a problem correctly is hard enough with years of training and experience.

Yah the nurse practitioners are a lot more common. But these were all four specialists.

Ivermectin has been used with good efficacy when administered early in the course of the disease; no effect if used later. That's likely one reason why study outcomes differ. We'll likely never know the truth. It has become too politicized, and too much money at stake.

Maybe lay off the heavy drugs you don't understand for a while. Glad you're feeling better.

Ivermectin worked just fine on me , but I got on it right away. Those who are pushing the vaccine can pound sand!
Not disputing the efficacy of Ivermectin, nor it's good effect on you. And I'm not "pushing" vaccine, but being fully vaccinated I was "pounding sand" and mountain trails while others suffered from the Covid affliction. Knock on wood ... my vaccinated wife and I have never experienced Covid. 'Just sayin ... vaccine ain't a bad option for some of us.

Jeepers. All medical topics lead to trump/vaccine bs commentary eventually.

Get well, OP. Covid is tough, i wish you a speedy recovery independent of your medical choices.

Growing up during the fabulous fifties, polio vaccination was certainly nothing to avoid nor created any contentious ideological arguments or conspiracy theories. Just prior to departing for duty in Vietnam, my shoulder got an explosive blast from a US Army Government vaccine gun which delivered several doses of various vaccines at once ... and even caused the soldier in front of me to pass out.

My kids have this joke about me because I have very rarely missed work or hunting due to illness. "Vaccination is just a little prick ... and Straight just don't get sick."

Up to you but Ivermectin worked for me. Former CNN anchor Chris Cuomo claims to be vax injured or long covid now and he was put on it by his doctor recently to try and cure him. Look up his past clips where he was pushing and preaching just the opposite during the height of the pandemic.

Do your own research make your own decision, I am glad I did. Whatever you end up doing hope it works out for you.

Yeah. I’ll follow the advice of my doctor who is medically trained. His words - people with vaccine survive Covid. He lost three non-vaccinated patients that month.
