Kodiak 2008

Pretty much have the general game plan together for a Kodiak hunt in late October. Will contact transporters when the draw results come out. Plan to hunt deer for sure and if lucky goat and/or bear (yah right). Going to be a long wait.

Sounds like fun. I'm going to get back up there some day. I really like that place.

Pointer is here at the house and we are getting ready to find a deer this morning. We were discussing getting back up there as well...hopefully fairly soon. Oak, you buy, I'll fly.

I'm not too hip on the boat trips. Why not really punish yourself? I kinda like camping out with the bears. I want to kill a buck like this:

Ok, the stage has been set. The first "mention" came in the form of "joking" about this crazy thread on HT. I'm beginning to think my wife may already be on to me though. She gave me that funny, sideways, "skeptical" look.

The buck you posted a pic of is from SEAK. Easy to tell because of the color of the antlers, but also because some of the guys on the campfire either knew the guy or of the story. Sweet buck, no doubt.

Yeah, I thought that's where it was from. I just saved the photo as the "perfect" sitka when somebody posted it over there. Guess I shouldn't be reposting the dudes photo, but that's what happens in cyberworld.

just got home last night from kodiak. HOLY SH!$. It was the ultimate outdoor enthusiast's vacation. Bucks, Brown bears, sea ducks, halibut, king crabs etc..... Will post the pictures and story in the next couple days. Nothing like the buck posted above but man what a blast. Can't wait to do it again!!!!!!
