You have some great photography skills, no way in hell I could hold the camera still to get a shot like that of a snake.

That pic of the snake all poised to strike is THE coolest rattler photo I've ever seen.

Bout stepped on a big bull snake Friday and bout crapped myself... jumped about 4 feet up and right! Its amazing how closely their hiss mimicks the rattlers "rattle"...

Great pics Craig. Wish I had your camera Friday, was in close to some pharalopes and just couldn't get a good pic with my point and shoot!! (light was shitty though).

Well maybe, spent last night on the Marias and found a couple griz this morning. Tried to get pics, but they headed into the willows. I wimped out. Pretty cool seeing griz on this part of the Marias. This better not change my BA.

yeah...how far down Marias? We got some good trail cam pics of a momma griz with three lil ones the other day, in an area where you may suspect theyd be, but wouldn't probably never see one. Definitely keeps a guy alert!

Apologies for muddying Miller's thread with my crappy cell phone pics, but... I had occasion to sneak in 45 minutes of fishing yesterday morning on the way to pick up my oldest son, who was a counselor at the Muscular Dystrophy summer camp.

Landed a small 'bow and a decent brown

Crossing the creek, I jumped next (see the mashed down grass to the left?) to what I thought was a big pile of poo in the tall grass

Which came with its own rattle in the chewy center. There was almost a large pile of poo in that tall grass afterall.

I wanted to clobber him since he was right off the side of a pretty highly used trail, but by the time I located a proper rock for the job, he had disappeared. Which made me decide to do the same.
