Idaho results are out!!!!!

Well another year down the drain for me in Idaho. I'm on 16 or 17 years without a controlled hunt. I swear if it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any at all. My wife did pull a pretty good elk tag, so I will be able to help her out on that.

I called a couple of people and found out wilecoyote and another buddy were lucky in the draws. I'll let him fill you in on the hunts.

Since the webpage isn't updated yet you have to go around about way to find out how it's done. Some guy on MM had this posted. Good luck to all in the draw.

Enter your license # or your social and your name and birthdate. That will take you to your profile page. Select Save and Continue at the top and then it will take you to the license page. Choose "Tags and Permits" at the top and if you were lucky enough to draw, it will show your tag right at the top of that page, above all of the general tags available.
I was on the site early yesterday morning and sure enough, I had my limited entry Big Buck Tag!!!

I drew a late muzzle loader deer tag. Boy #2 drew antelope. Boy #3 drew a bull tag in the unit IB was in last year.

IB is right. I drew a pretty good bull elk tag and a so-so antelope permit. It appears I will have to hang up the archery equipment and go buy me a new rifle for these two draws. That sucks! Good luck to all those who drew and better luck next year to those who didnt! ( cough, cough, IDBugler!)

Hows its suppose to look on the screen, does it say specifically you drew what hunt etc,or what. When I click tags/permits it just pulls up a screen similar what you would see normally buying tags etc. Except at the top of mine it says resident deer reciept, resident elk reciept. Whats it suppose to say or look like to know? Ahh never mind I just checked out MM and seen the screen shot of what its suppose to look like, looks like another dry yr for me.

It looks like you didn't draw a tag. At the very top it will say controlled hunts and then list the number of the hunt you drew. Sorry man but I think you had my luck.

Booo! This kind of sucks, but kind of not. I've been scouting one general area for deer and am quite excited about it.

Wife and Dad each picked up a late cow tag in 76. Hunting partner picked up a bull tag and a goat (antelope) tag in the big desert. I also drew the bull tag for 52A/68. No love in the deer draws for me!

I missed out on my elk draw for the 5th straight year, but did manage to score a pretty decent muley tag in north central ID, 11A, with my cousin. Its not a super unit, lots of private land. I do have access to some pretty good land in it, so it should be fun. Hopefully a couple of the bucks we saw two years ago are still running around and then things should be really good. I guess I'm buying a new rifle and maybe looking at taxidermy bills.

I didn't draw my Mtn. Goat tag but my 14 yr. old daughter drew a buck tag in 44 and a bull tag in 48! I'm obviously more excited than her about it but she is looking forward to it. I can't believe her luck!!
