I 90 east of Gillette detour

Left WI 330 this morning, were planning "Little Bighorn " on the way to West Yellowstone tomorrow.
Looks like I 90 east is closed.
Any help with a detour?

Highway 212 from about Spearfish all the way to Little Bighorn. Just drive with caution as it is narrow in many places. Deer have been an issue in the past, not so much now. Don't count on getting gas or food on the Rez.

Thanks. We had planned on Gillette for the 1st stop. Signs said I 90 closed.
May check in the morning.

Very well may look different in the morning. We have had a lot of new starts tonight around Gillette. Our crews will have their hands full unfortunately.

Looks like a big fire between Gillette and Buffalo. Hwy 212 from Belle Fourche SD to Crow Agency MT looks open but I think there is some serious road construction along the route.

Yeah, fire started a few miles from our house and looks like it may be about 20-30 miles wide now.
Thankful the wind shifted but we are still under evacuation orders.

LEO has exit and entrance ramps blocked between Gillette and Buffalo.

Fires everywhere over there, roads from MT line (wy59) all the way down to Kaycee (wy192) are closed for all these fires. If I was traveling anywhere near Gillette I would want to be on road fast and getting away from there! Hope you residents are getting thru without incident, good luck and be safe guys.

The WY 511 website is pretty reliable. 14 looks like it's still open.

14 thru Spotted Horse to Sheridian looks clear....good scenery along the drive too. Spotted Horse Bar and Grill has cold beer and decent burgers.
