Im still looking for wolves, but I was reflecting on the past year's hunts and did mine by the numbers. I'd like to hear yours.

97- Degrees while packing out my aoudad
3- Times I told my buddy not to sit in #cactus on the same trip
44- Amount of no's I got before I got a yes for #access in #Wyoming
4- Families who received #wildgame from me
0- Bags of bear quarters you have to pack out when you randomly meet some #Wicsonsinites in the #backcountry who are too eager to help out
5 - Number of times a rabbit outjuked #Grinnell in one slip
3- New species added to my lifelist
30- Minutes my #oryx hunt lasted
10,000- new #taxidermy bill...just kidding...kind of
50- Yards I had to hike to find my #PB mulie

10 number of #'s you used for what reason? ;) I don't have any fancy numbers but maybe I can think some up tomorrow. Just got home from our last hunt of the 2020 tag season

2 - number of tags drawn
2 - number of tags notched
1 - new freezer, well used but new to me
1st - Idaho elk tag
214 - yards to the elk
1 - shot 7 SAUM
1 - number of elk I've packed out on my back solo
1,037.4 - miles driven on elk hunt
1st - Oryx tag ever and first OIL tag ever
450 - yards to the oryx
1 - shot 300 RUM
3,105.4 - miles on the oryx hunt
0 - emergency stops on the way to New Mexico, last trip to NM included the stomach flu on the day I left home. VERY long drive in those conditions
#1 - where I'd say oryx meat ranks in the wild game I've eaten
Countless - the number of beautiful vistas I saw on these two trips

Can I ask about your barbary? Otc or draw? What kind of elevation did you find them? Thanks and an amazing season!

Great season! Makes me tired thinking of your hunt schedule.

18. The number of days I have left to hunt.
I don't have the number, but there is still an elk tag to be filled, so I guess you could 1. My only problem is I need some serious weather to push the elk to a certain area where I can hunt.

Good luck filling your tag Jason!

Good luck filling your tag Jason!
Thanks Zach, but I don't have any tags left. Three more trips of chasing the ghost partridges around in the canyons. Then, it's on to other stuff like house remodel projects that have been on hold since August....

Good luck with your tag.

1- Number of shots I actually fired this year - Whitetail doe .30-06
2 - Number of hunts I went on for species I’ve never hunted before. Mtn. Goat and Elk.
4 - Number of days it took for my friend Bob and I to pack into the Beartooths, punch his goat tag, catch some trout and pack back out.
7 - Number of days I spent chasing elk without punching my tag.

The numbers weren’t that high for me this year but the quality of experiences and the people I spent it with were higher than you can count.

1 - sons I have that killed their first big game animal, a cow elk, this year (very proud dad moment)
1 - shots it took for my son to kill his elk

400 - yards of the furthest pack out we had for elk
2 - new areas I added to the list of hunt areas I have killed antelope in
