HB 505 - Elk Need Your Help

Not yet at least. They'll still have to vote on it. Not sure why RunningWolf motioned to table it, then appeared to vote against Tabling it.

Tabling means they're done with the bill for now. In order to remove it from the table, a motion to take it off the table would have to be made, and then there would be debate, then a vote (pending other motions & amendments).

Nothing is dead until Sine Die (adjournment).

What a freaking gong show.....so the landowner can't make money on the hunting, but they sure can jack up the Outfitter lease fees. Freaking D.U.M.B

The landowner could get their outfitter's license if they felt so inclined to pocket that money themselves. It's not exactly a PhD program.
I read it as a way to ensure that the landowners aren't auctioning off those "up-to" five tags off to the hunters themselves. Now what the outfitter charges... That's still up to the individual business owner.

9 to 9 ties it which kills it....and then it gets tabled ?!?!?!? How? Ben???

It's a process vote that is generally applied to all bills.

9-9 is a good vote. Be happy.

The bill has until April 1st to clear committee, then pass appropriations & then the whole house.

This thing isn't dead but it is no longer breathing.

Well done folks. Brace for a blast.motion to bring it to the floor, but if folks are smart, then the bill is dead.

This is a huge victory.
