Grouse And Vintage Shotguns

I have a bunch of old shotguns and have ignored them too long. Now I am taking them out for grouse. Last year and this fall, I have been shooting these old guns and enjoying the bird season even more...

Nice old guns , it doesn’t look as though they are hurting your hunting any ! It’s nice to see those guns in the field doing what they were intended for. A local gun shop I visit has a good variety of old shotguns and it kind of sad to see these once prized guns on the rack. Great to see your out there having a such success .

Hard to beat a double barrel shot gun. My grandpa always said if you can’t get it in 2 you likely wouldn’t on the 3rd or 4th

It is a Burgess wrist slide action 12 gauge. I use 2 and 2 1/2 inch shells in it.

Love this. This one doesn't have the hinge, but looks look it breaks down similar to a Stevens 520?

I always wanted a Browning auto-5, and now that I can afford it, I just haven’t gotten one yet.

Awesome pictures! I’ve had luck on woodcock this year with my new to me 1934 Fox Sterlingworth. Haven’t been able to connect on a grouse with it yet.
