Glasgow, America

It amazes me how many Monanans seem to not care about what has happened
...
wy556, you are perfectly legit in rightfully expressing your disdain for what has occurred not only at UM, Missoula, but elsewhere. But I am amazed that you continue to criticize Montanans and characterize the good citizens of this state as categorically not caring about this appalling situation.
That is where your ration and fiery over-the-top rhetoric goes awry. Continuously you have come on this forum and bashed Montanans and our beloved state. Your hatred seems to be more directed at Montana than at any rapist. You have expressed yourself far too vehemently and too often. We may not be as smart as you ... but we get it! You have said it too many times and with far too much emphasis for even a lowly Montanan to miss it. So please calm down. Try to have faith that at the end of the day justice will prevail ... albeit the individual victims will suffer far after the end of the day.

And if it may offer any solace, look into the recent remarks of former Montana Congressman Pat Williams, who as a Montana Regent on the Board of Higher Education has condemned the university for recruiting "thug" athletes.

Now again, what has this got to do with Glasgow, America?

This thread has now taken more personal interest for me, now that Mrs. Fin bought some property in a western suburb of Glasgow, near the big town of Saco. Not sure of her plans, but I suspect it has something to do with her walleye addiction.

Ah crap there goes my "Sugar Mamma" for good cookies and such.:( You weren't joking when you said she was in the buying mood. We went from being possibly next door neighbors to you moving to the moon basically Really bummed :(

The moon? Really.

I guess I will have to fuel up the rocket to get my middle daughter to Bozeman this fall. We are going to be a house divided now with one Pharmacy School in Missoula and one in BozAngles .

It is just a short hop from Saco to Bozeman.

Thank You, Big Fin. Really what does this have to do with Glasgow............ start your own thread if this is your issue. Let's see where that goes. I'm into hunting and thats what we are spose to be doing here! Not figureing out what justice system is doing what to some collegent entity. Thats for some other place. If some injustice is done in the hunting world then we can carry on with this crap but it don't belong here otherwise! You have a problem with the way we feel about our other problems and how they are approched.... then you have a problem! It's yours, Have fun with it! Sorry guys this is mostly directed at WY566, Time for this s#$t to END!!! GOT IT! Damn I let someone get me going, hate that! Ok maybe not so much!

we be jammin, 556 didn't bring up the subject of 'collegent reppists'....and if you read the entire thread, quite a few posters were having fun with it.

That's not what I got from it all, and I am never wrong. HA! But if apolozies are in order I am sorry. But what this has to do with living, visiting, Glasgow then sue me. Let's see, UM Missoula, UM Bozeman, OH DAMN THEY ARE RIGHT BY GLASGOW!!!! I dont care, WY556 and the rest are off base bringing this up here. And NO I AM NOT "SENSITIVE". Evidently I am stupid! Still standing.

I didn't mean any offense toward Glasgow. Just was going to miss waving at a friend as we pass each other. From what randy says it sounds like a neat place. Hopefully I can get an invite to come fishing. Only gone walleye fishing once and he took me on that trip as well.

I thought it would be how close the "Resort" at Sleeping Buffalo was. Has she spent any time in Saco during the mosquito season? 100 percent DEET is required.

There is a DQ close

Nemont

You better have 100% Deet....the mosquitoes can stand flat footed and breed a turkey!!! It is ridicules!

Big shooter, that aint no s$#t. Damn things will carry you off! hahaha. Sorry if I offended anyone. Get a little persnickity at times. Cowboy..... YEP!

Looks like I'm going to be spending half of June driving to Glasgow, and the rest of it working.

Any locals able to point me in the right direction for glassing bears after work? Any good high mountain lakes I can hike into on off days? How about the local breweries or nightlife?

I've got an empty truck bed if anyone needs a cross state delivery.
Is your truck big enough to hold a bison? :D

This was an interesting thread and I would like to add to it three years too late.

I spent the last week in Glasgow on work, and from Malta to the Breaks to Canada to the Bakken, got quite the tour of the surrounding country. Stayed in the Old Fort Peck Hotel. The people were absolutely as friendly as can be, and it seemed like a great community. I knew there was great hunting and fishing in the area, but the country around Glasgow is underappreciated as hell.

The prairies were full of life.

Some pretty cool digs at the APR.

Every evening was spent watching elk. Some big ones too. When done growing I bet this bull pushes 300 inches. Crappy picture from The Pines.

The traffic jams were few and far between.

Sweet clover for miles.

The dam tour was fascinating.

Between the breaks, the rivers, the lakes, the fish hatchery, the most bizarre place I have ever been (St. Marie), the healthy grasslands and the wildlife - I'd say Glasgow would be a fantastic place to live and is a sportsmen's paradise.

Is that a Yurt with AC? Genghis would be appalled... ;)

I remember how grateful I am to live in Fort Peck every single day. Sounds like you had an awesome stay

See any bison? I was in the area a couple weeks ago.
