Shot my biggest deer with open sights. Probably killed more with open sights (.22) than anything else. Just got a vx6 so pretty stoked to replace the fixed 4x

I prefer for fun on targets but not for deer, etc. I shoot too many when there's not enough ambient light to see without a scope.

Super fast target acquisition. Can't beat open sights for quick and dirty work. If I'm not hunting with one, I always have one in the truck or cabin because it's thick where we hunt.
