Not really a slugfest...I don't like the implication of being elitist because I care about " design".How did we go from a 2.5 year old garage question to the verge of a white collar vs blue collar HT slugfest?
Don't call me Sir...I work for a living. HahaYou’re signed up too.
Well, you're also on record as Papa admirer...strike two it is my friendNot really a slugfest...I don't like the implication of being elitist because I care about " design".
Gotta have a couple logs poking out here and there to be a genuine New Mexico build.Cover that entire thing with stucco and, voila, New Mexico...no control joints allowed.
Truth be known i have four architects on my mothers side and took the opposite direction. Must be some residue in there somewhere. So there is that.Well, you're also on record as Papa admirer...strike two it is my friend
It's a luxury of your skill. I didn't have that luxury, I barely made a crappy square spec home work. Not really a slugfest...I don't like the implication of being elitist because I care about " design".
*YourYou're literary taste is what makes you elite! LOL
Vigas, Mr Woodman.Gotta have a couple logs poking out here and there to be a genuine New Mexico build.
You also like good wine, which also points to your cultured side. Good wine is what us carpenters need, when trying to turn some architects wet dream into reality!Truth be known i have four architects on my mothers side and took the opposite direction. We call them logs around here.Vigas, Mr Woodman.
geriatric ennuiHow did we go from a 2.5 year old garage question to the verge of a white collar vs blue collar HT slugfest?
When I was looking at college (at the ripe old age of 28) it was between Construction Management and Architecture. The fact that I can’t draw and am not creative (but I know what I like when I see it) pretty much made that decision for me.Truth be known i have four architects on my mothers side and took the opposite direction. So what you're saying is I should spit ball my ideas first with the carpenter before I send over my train wreck CAD file to the architect? You also like good wine, which also points to your cultured side. That will likely save you a shit ton of money, but what the heck, you're almost an oil tycoon these days!So what you're saying is I should spit ball my ideas first with the carpenter before I send over my train wreck CAD file to the architect?
I always tell clients I lean towards building things as they should not necessarily as they are. Often this results in a confused look. Subjective, but visual appeal and function of space are as important as structural integrity. You also like good wine, which also points to your cultured side. I'm a looooong ways out from that #alpha glass #sickwithit #king ranch, lifestyleThat will likely save you a shit ton of money, but what the heck, you're almost an oil tycoon these days!
