I almost quit today and may still seek other employment when I get back from Colorado. Small companies who don’t take care of employees and chastise without even asking you what happened are toxic.

You know because there are those handfuls of people who are not happy until everyone around them is not happy. That’s who I had the pleasure of meeting today. A overworked and overwhelmed temp who has just a bit of power. To ice the cake, after she told me all things I was doing wrong, she called my boss, and tried to get me banned from the factory. All because I am almost deaf and couldn’t hear what she was saying thru the little slot in the glass that she slammed shut in my face. I asked for her name and the supervisor came out almost forcibly escorted me out of the building.

Then to top that my employer unloaded both barrels on me for causing a scene and threatening his account. He still hasn’t asked me my side.

Friday and late season Mule deer can’t come soon enough. I need a reset before I start singing.

Too many good jobs out there now days to stay somewhere that you aren’t appreciated.
It’s been happening for a while with a different employee. She gave notice and is retiring the end of December. She was the first one I called today. You know that thing he was doing with you? Well guess who the new scapegoat is…

Being a once retired guy I have this job because I want to have something to do. It has a flex schedule and gives me mad money for Suburban projects.

Being a at will employee has its perks when there are other options.

Is there a sporting goods/gunstore around? Right up your alley. mtmuley
I am a commercial driver so I could be in a school buss or snow plow by Friday. I dislike people enough that retail would a constant struggle with dumb people, look here fuktard…..

The Amish have their claws into my friend and she keeps trying to recruit me and the Suburban to be a taxi with her. It’s a couple hundred a week cash which isn’t bad.

Man, you're not the only one who had a stressful day. You definitely take the cake though. While I had one of "those" days, it was not as tough as yours.

Don't forget, there's thousands of jobs out there. Don't be afraid to leave if they don't treat you right. You spend too much time at work to be unhappy when you're there.

Do tell, venting threads have a shelf life so get it out while the getting is good.

If and when you quit. Don't quit to teach the employer a lesson.. youll be replaced. We’re all disposable to an extent. Quit when you find something better. Just my .02 from experience.
It’s extremely hard to fill my current position. He has tried several times to grow but we are at the bottom of the scale. There are so many driver openings we are not competitive in the market. The only thing he has is a flex schedule which works for my niche.

Anyone not in my niche who wants benefits and current compensation rate goes elsewhere.

I’ve looked at Penske. They have trucks all over the US that have to get moved from location to location. It’s a on call type gig for retired folks. I could make enough with it to still fund hunting projects.
My Dad had a friend that delivered campers all over the US, was kind of a work when he wanted type of thing.

What I'm saying is don't quit just to prove a point quit to better your situation. Good luck.

Temps will be the death of commerce , under paid know nothing douchebags ! GM went that way at the end of my time .
They would bring them to me saying heres your new boss , show him want you do .
I always replied -My job is to do what I'm told , see my job description .
Pissed em off big time .
OP , I hope it works out well for you .
