Every year we have at least one fox den right around the house. This year it’s right behind the house. Looks like 3-4 pups this year. Usually leave them alone as long as they aren’t bothering anything. Kids want to catch one of the pups for a pet. Fun to sit outside in the evenings and watch them run around

I enjoy foxes, don't see a whole lot of downside as I believe they primarily go after small rodents. Like a cat minus murdering song bird I suppose

Wife’s got a few goats kidding within the week. See quite a few fawn legs outside fox dens so I don’t think they’d have an issue picking a goat kid off. Hopefully they get the barn cats first 😄

Never understood people who just blast foxes. You dont see a lot of them...

There’s actually a pretty good population in pockets where I live. I could take you in a 5 mile circle and probably find 4 different fox dens just along the roads. They seem to use the same dens year after year. Just have to catch them when they aren’t moving between dens when the fleas get too bad. These ones won’t be safe the middle of November.

Beautiful animals! I would like to have just one tubed hide hanging though!

If you could raise a pup to be domesticated that’d be so sick! Get one!

@brockel I think you really need to step up your game. She just whooped your butt on adorable fox kit photo taking skills!
I’ve tried getting closer pictures of ours but they are pretty shy. Had to settle for scope on the tripod holding the phone free handed. Maybe I’ll dig out the spotting scope

Ah fair point. I'm used to coyotes getting calfs around here and couldn't picture a fox pulling that feat off easily

Beautiful animals. This past hunting season is the 1st time I have ever seen a red and gray fox while hunting in the same year. The gray fox was gorgeous, it ended up having a stand off with a doe.

Trail cam. We have kits on our property every year. A few times I’ve put out a trail cam and laughed my arse off at some of the 2:00am wrasslin pictures we get of the youngsters. 1716337789811.jpeg
